1,600 Overwatch Accounts In South Korea Receive Sanctions From Blizzard

Launching from the Twitter account @OverwatchNaeri, Blizzard has sanctioned 1,618 accounts Overwatch South Korean server because it is considered to have committed fraud.

The sneaky mode used is by sharing an account. When players share accounts, players can level up faster. This is illegal in South Korea and can result in a prison sentence.

It is known that Blizzard has indeed issued a provision that prohibits players from sharing accounts and their information with anyone. “Blizzard Entertainment is committed to creating a fair and positive ecosystem for players,” reads a statement from Blizzard.

Considering that South Korea is a fertile field for Overwatch players, this step is considered very important to bring order to the Overwatch ecosystem in order to create a fair game for the Overwatch esports world in the Ginseng Country.
