New Designs of 7 Overwatch 2 Hero Characters Revealed!
The latest announcement from Blizzard has indeed confused many Overwatch fans. Because Bilzzard only announced that Overwatch 2 will be a sequel, cooperative multiplayer mode, new story and competitive environment in Overwatch.
One thing that still confuses fans is that there are no specifications about the heroes in the game. On prior notice, Blizzard has not conveyed details about the heroes that will be present in the game later.
And now the developer has confirmed that every hero in Overwatch 2 will get a visual update. In addition, several new heroes such as Sojourn will soon be added to the game.
Overwatch 2 Characters Will Get Technical and Visual Changes
During the BlizzCon 2022 Opening, Overwatch’s game director confirmed that the overhaul was both technical and visual. Blizzard clearly has bigger plans for animation and costumes for its heroes. However, for now fans Overwatch have to be patient until the original design is announced.
As part of the debut, Blizzard introduced seven different visual hero upgrades. Heroes were showcased in the cinematic Overwatch 2 announcement, and now heroes are entering a new era in Overwatch storytelling. As such, the character’s clothes and hair might change, but nothing drastic.

So far, only 7 characters have revealed their visual changes. The seven heroes that have been updated are Lucio, Mercy, Reinhardt, Winston, Tracer, Genji, and Mei. While Blizzard didn’t make any major changes to the characters, the difference in visual quality between the two versions is very clear.
One really cool thing about the changes Blizzard has made for Series 2 of Overwatch is that each character keeps the same silhouette. It’s not clear whether the original Overwatch players will still have the classic visuals when playing in Overwatch 2 with the improved visuals.
It will be very interesting to see if Blizzard will present something new in Overwatch 2. Unfortunately, we don’t know when this game will be released. But for the platform, the game will be released on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
