Riot Games Announces League Of Legends Championship, Combined LMS and LST?

Riot Games announces a new brand League of Legends Championship named Pacific Championship Series (PCS) which will start on February 8, 2022. Pacific Championship Series (PCS) is the result of a collaboration with FunPlus Esports and Garena.

According to a report from The Esports Observer, this time the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) will pit ten teams, but currently only 9 teams have been announced. What are the teams? Is there a representative from Indonesia?

Last September, Riot Games said that PCS is a combination of League of Legends Master Series (LMS) which is the venue for teams from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, and League of Legends Southeast Asia Tour (LST) which is the venue for teams from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Pacific Championship Series (PCS) aims to increase competition in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong while creating a more engaging experience for fans.

It’s been 10 years since Riot Games released League of Legends, so many esports tournaments have sprung up like League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) in North America, League of Legends Pro League (LPL) in China, League of Legends European Championship (LEC) in Europe.

Nine Teams Competing in PCS, Are There Indonesian Representatives?

The Pacific Championship Series (PCS) will bring together ten competing teams, but currently Riot has only announced 9 teams. The list of teams that will compete in the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), is as follows:

  • ahq Esports Club (Taipei)
  • Alpha Esports (Taipei)
  • G-Rex Gaming (Hong Kong)
  • Hong Kong Attitude (Hong Kong)
  • J Team (Taipei)
  • Liyab Esports (Manila)
  • Nova Esports (Bangkok)
  • Resurgence (Singapore)
  • Talon (Hong Kong)

Unfortunately, Indonesia did not send a representative to the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) event, because when League of Legends Southeast Asia Tour (LST) Indonesia’s performance is a bit bad.
