PUBG Supports 60 FPS For Next-Gen Consoles
Who is not familiar with PUBG, this game introduced and popularized the concept of battle royale for the first time. Well, the developer, namely Tencent, is preparing PUBG to be able to enter the next-gen console.
Previously they focused on adding bots and systems to the game. Now they are working on the visual performance of PUBG to be able to appear with maximum performance.
PUBG Ready 60 FPS For Next-Gen Consoles
The PUBG game development team for console devices said PUBG can already run for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. In addition, the news that makes fans even more happy is that PUBG will run at 60 FPS with features Framerate Priority.
This feature will be available for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro which will be released on October 29 with the 9.1 update. As for the next-gen console, this PUBG feature will be released as soon as the next-gen console is released in November.
However, unfortunately for next-gen consoles, this 60 FPS display will only be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. As for Xbox Series S, PUBG will only be able to run at 30 FPS.
The Presence of Cross-Platform Play Features
In this announcement, the developer also mentioned that PUBG will get new features. The new features are: cross-platoform play, cross-progression, and cross-generation multiplayer on all available platforms.
Later players can also transfer their account data on the old console to the new console for free, and continue playing with the previous account. Not only that, the developer also guarantees that all data in the form of skins and cosmetics will remain safe.
Not only that, the PUBG developer also said that players will be able to do multiplayer mode even though their consoles are different generations. However, the development team has not stated that the cross-play platform of PUBG will be available for PC.
Lastly, the PUBG development team is of the opinion that the next-gen PUBG will have a faster load time. And the occurrence of a drop in fps will not happen again. The plan is that PUBG for Xbox Series X and S will be available on November 10, while for PS5 it will only be available on November 12.
