Spencer Neumann Will Join Netflix After Being Dismissed by Activision!

Activision Blizzard, a game company behind the success of names like Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo, has lost one of its senior executives. Activision has announced that it has terminated its CFO, Spencer Neumann on December 31st.

Activision decided to terminate Neumann’s contract for reasons unrelated to the control and reporting procedures in the company’s finances.

Neumann is now on leave, and he was given the opportunity to “show why there is no reason to quit his job or why his termination is justifiable.” Or in other words he can appeal.

The position of CFO will be taken over by Dennis Durkin for the time being. However, should Neumann decide to leave, Dunkin will officially take on the role of CFO.

In addition, a source said that Neumann left the company to join a video streaming service Netflix. Former Netflix CFO David Wells announced in August that he was leaving the company. Sources say that Netflix wants a Los Angeles-based CFO, and the strong candidate is Neumann.

According to Reuters, Neumann is expected to start on Netflix in early 2022, so an official announcement may be coming soon.

Neumann has been CFO of Activision Blizzard since May 2022. Prior to joining the company, he rose through the ranks at Disney, eventually becoming CFO of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
