TJ Sports Will Be New Company for Tencent and Riot Games!
Referring to previous articles, Tencent and Riot announced their collaboration at the 2022 China League of Legends Leaders Summit in Shanghai, China. At the event, Nicola Laurent, CEO of Riot Games and several of its executives announced a partnership with Tencent.
The result of this collaboration has established a new company called Tengjing Sports or TJ Sports. The company will focus on the Chinese League of Legends eSports business as well as hold various tournaments.

The company will be led by Jin Yibo and Lin Song with 50% shares in Tencent and 50% each in Riot.
“TJ Sports will build the best tournament organizer team to improve our tournament and user experience, and standardize the esports industry. In the long term, TJ Sports plans to become an international esports operating company, increasing diversity and sustainability in the esports industry on a global scale. Nicolo also said, “The LPL is the first competition area to launch a Home/Away mode in the League of Legends tournament system. I believe that TJ Sports can take League of Legends, as a top esports game, to another level.
