Tokyo Game Show 2022 Officially Held Online
The emergence of the corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) has hindered various plans that have been prepared in 2022. In the video game industry itself, it has had a fairly large impact. The reason is, several new game releases had to be postponed, and various game exhibition events were canceled.
One of which is E3 2022 which is arguably the biggest game exhibition event. Besides E3, it turns out that the Tokyo Game Show 2022 is also one of the events that game lovers have been waiting for this year. However, some time ago CESA (Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association) has officially canceled the event.
Will Take Place Online
The Tokyo Game Show itself is one of the biggest video game exhibition events like E3. This event was attended by gamers to find out interesting information from various game publishers.
Since it was first held 24 years ago, the Tokyo Game Show continues to grow into a bigger event every year. This game show is not only an exhibition space for big games, a number of indie developers are also present to enliven the event.
Well recently, CESA also announced information that the Tokyo Game Show 2022 will still be held this year even though it must be held online. Later, the Tokyo Game Show 2022 itself will be attended by many companies, organizations, as well as indie game publishers to those that are already well-known in Japan.
Will Present Hundreds of Game Exhibitions
Different from Summer Game Fest held for months, the Tokyo Game Show will only last for one period. Viewers won’t be charged anything, unless they want to connect with game developers for business.
This time the Tokyo Game Show will be filled with online game presentations by large and small companies. Meanwhile, Indie game developers have to fill out a form with their game information and present the gameplay via video streaming.
Even though it was held online, gamers didn’t really miss this 2022 Tokyo Game Show. They will run online and it’s free to access stream. 200 exhibitions will showcase their video games via livestream held by the official TGS channel.
