As smartphones improve, mobile games are becoming more viable. Many top developers have focused on creating versions of their games for smartphones.
Several games have made the jump to mobile earlier, with the likes of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and the Call of Duty franchise proving to be huge successes.

In October 2022, EA revealed that the mobile version of Apex Legends was targeted for release in fiscal year 2022 – starting in October 2022. However, this release window has been adjusted.
The Apex Legends mobile release date is set for the third quarter of 2022, which could be early July to late September. However, it’s still only in close beta.
On February 24, Respawn posted an FAQ page for the mobile title, revealing the limited regional release will take place in 10 countries on Android and iOS. It starts on March 7, and will cover the following countries:
- Argentina
- Colombia
- Mexico
- Peru
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Australia
- New Zealand
