Battler Royale Game "Fantasy VII: The First Solider" to be Released in November
Ateam Entertainment and Square Enix have announced that their mobile battle royale game, Final Fantasy VII: The First Solider, will be releasing for iOS and Android in November. A specific date was not given, but we do know that pre-registration will begin sometime this month.
In addition to announcing the release window, Square Enix also unveiled a new playable style that was showcased as part of the Square Enix Prizes at TGS 2022. It’s called Ninja style and, as you’d expect from its name, focuses on stealth and mobility, with melee. an attack that involves throwing a shuriken star at an enemy.
They also revealed some changes to the game based on player feedback. The closed beta test was held in June, and 90% of players said they were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their experience. However, despite the seemingly positive response, director Tetsuya Nomura feels it needs some improvement.
These adjustments include the addition of controller support for players who don’t like using touch screens. Elsewhere, they have worked to improve the onboarding process by including more intuitive training and tutorial modes. Lastly, they’ve introduced a collectibles feature that lets players collect materials from special boxes or monster drops that they can exchange for customized skins.
If you’re not familiar with Final Fantasy VII: The First Solider, this is a 75-player battle royale game where players fight to be the last man standing. They can use various weapons, swords, and spells to defeat their opponents in addition to killing monsters to gain experience points and Gil.
Final Fantasy VII: The First Solider will release on the App Store and Google Play sometime in November. This will be a free to play game with in-app purchases.
