Explanation of Heroic Anthem and KvK Rise of Kingdoms Differences
In the biggest event in the Rise of Kingdoms game, there is something called KvK (Kingdom vs Kingdom) the latest edition titled Heroic Anthem: Season of Conquest which was just released in October 2022 yesterday along with a massive RoK update version 1.0.38.
This is a new format for KvK events in Rise of Kingdoms. Usually if you run a KvK event the first, second, third and so on will be very different. Starting from the composition of opponents, maps, regulations, and even the format.
If you have heard of the KvK “Light and Darkness” format, it can only be chosen by the Kingdom that has completed KvK seasons 1 and 2. Well, for Heroic Anthem it’s the same.
This means, only the royal server or the Old Kingdom, aka estimates that are more than 1 year after being formed, can only use the KvK Heroic Anthem tournament format and several other options.
So what are the differences between KvK Heroic Anthem and the usual ones? Here we summarize everything based on the explanation on the “Event” page of Rise of Kingdoms.
1. Several Kingdoms can unite to choose the KvK Heroic Anthem – Season of Conquest format. If the kings of the eight Kingdoms agreed, then all the governors in the Kingdoms involved would automatically agree.
2. After the registration period is over, all contestants cannot change the format and the selected KvK storyline. For example, eight Kings agreed to use “Heroic Anthem”, so they cannot turn to “Light and Darkness”.
3. There will be a “Matchmaking” system, where if the Kingdom you live in has chosen “Heroic Anthem” you will meet other KDs who choose a similar KvK format.
4. If a Kingdom does not participate three times in a row, it will be automatically registered in the random KvK format in the next registration period.

Fog: Once the KvK Heroic Anthem season starts, all maps will be covered in fog. All governors must send Scouts to explore and clear the fog. This is similar to when we create a RoK account in the new Kingdom.
Bastions / Fort Defense: During the process of clearing the fog, Scouts may encounter a Bastion or a Fortress. One commander and their troops are in it, it’s similar to that of Barbarian. There were a total of 14 bastions in the first season.
*Heroic Anthem Coalition System KvK Rise of Kingdoms:
Join Coalition / Join Coalition: Governors can join a coalition along with their alliance, of course a coalition must be created by R4/R5 or alliance leader. An alliance must be in the same Camp in order to join a similar coalition.
Coalition Features / Coalition Features: Governors can help rally, garrison, reinforce and repair each other’s buildings with players who are in similar coalitions.
Rewards Sharing: Sharing prizes, all members in a coalition will get rewards from ancient buildings such as Sanctuary, Hieron, Crusader Camp, Pass on first occupation.
*Rewards System – KvK Heroic Anthem Rewards:
Season Coins / Season Coins: Complete a research project, in the Crystal Research Center menu to get Season Coins.
Conquest Coins: Complete Crusader (Achievement) achievements to earn Conquest Coins (Conquest Coins).
Saved Coins: If all the coins in KvK that season are still left, they will automatically be saved and can be accumulated and used in the following season.
Both Season Coins and Conquest Coins can be collected and exchanged for various attractive prizes, such as Legendary Commander Sculpture (Golden Statue), Legendary Blueprint Equipment, Lost Kingdom special City Skin, Avatar Frame (Profile Photo Frame), Name Plaque (Nameplate), Action Points, Gold Keys, Speedups and more.
