Nogizaka46 Opens 5th Generation Member Audition, Finds New Ace

The first edition of the Sakamichi Series group, Nogizaka46, is productive again, wota friends. Previously, they announced that they would release their 28th single, which is close to the schedule for the release of the 58th single by their rival idol group and their eternal rival, AKB48 “Nemo Hamo Rumor”.

On this occasion, Nogizaka46 took the theme “Kono Sekai ni Mikansei wa Utsukushii (Unfinished things in this world are beautiful)“. Do you have a dream that you can’t tell anyone? Just one summer, just one, for you.

Management added a system where not only individual participants, but also accepted a group who wanted to participate by selecting the option “Applying with Everyone” on the website nogizaka46audition.com.

So, if you have previously formed your own group at school, campus or with friends at home, you can really register. But the main requirement is that there are a maximum of 3 people per registered group.

In addition, this year’s Nogizaka46 member audition will have a second phase which will be held online. The registration period for registration starts from July 19 to August 10, 2022.

The second phase starts on August 20 online, while the third phase will take place in select regions on September 4-5. Then the fourth phase in Tokyo September 18 and the final stage the following day.

The announcement of the final results of the Nogizaka46 gen 5 member auditions will be delivered in December 2022, the exact date has not been determined. All girls who pass are entitled to idol status and become part of the Sakamichi Series.

Nogizaka hopes that the new system, namely auditioning with three friends, can increase the confidence of those who are shy or don’t dare to audition alone, so they invite their colleagues to join in.

Until this news is published, Nogizaka LLC is only accepting special registrations for Japanese citizens only & temporarily closing audition registrations from other countries until the situation and conditions are better.

The recruitment of new members is considered quite timely, moreover a number of senior members of Nogizaka46 have just decided to leave the group, either graduating (Graduate) or resigning during 2022-2022.

Plus Nogizaka46 is an idol group that rarely holds auditions for new generation members. The existence of a long-term contract duration for younger members makes them last longer.
