Sherlock Holmes 3 Reportedly Amid Its Two New Spinoffs
long awaited, Sherlock Holmes 3 finally picked up in the middle of the news of two shows spin-off coming soon to HBO Max. Based on the highly iconic detective story, this third film has actually been more than a decade after the last one Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011).
The third film was originally scheduled to be released on December 22, 2022, but postponed until now due to the Corona virus pandemic. Unfortunately in 2022, Guy Ritchie as director had announced that Sherlock Holmes 3 postponed “indefinitely”, and until now updates about the continuation of the film is difficult to come by.

After a long wait, the latest news has finally surfaced with Downey Jr. who is developing two shows spin-off Sherlock Holmes for HBO Max. With the announcement of two shows spin-off that, many fans are curious about the project Sherlock Holmes 3.
Unfortunately in the report they only provided a brief update revealing that, “basically, the project is still pending”. The report simply claims that, “a third film in the franchise is in development but has never gone beyond that stage.”
While it never really came to fruition, at least fans would probably get not one, but two shows for HBO Max. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Downey and his production company are developing two shows based on the story of legendary author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The two series will reportedly take place in the same world as the film Sherlock Holmes 2009 and movies Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in 2011, starring Downey Jr. as a legendary detective alongside Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.
According to reports, the two series will each focus on a new character that was previously introduced in the third film Sherlock Holmes. The report also notes that Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey, will executive produce along with Amanda Burrell.
Obviously, this isn’t the first time it’s a draw spin-off for a Sherlock Holmes film was discussed, but this is the first time major steps have been taken to develop it. So, ready to see the action again Downey Jr. and Law for spin-off newest?
