Some RoK friends have heard the words “Casual Player” in Rise of Kingdoms. This does seem normal, but it turns out to be a reference to find out the difference between the types of governors in RoK, let’s review which are Casual and Hardcore players in this game.

Quoting from the Oxford Dictionary, Casual literally means more relaxed, without pressure, irregular & no more worries. Or in short, “Someone who does something casually & irregularly”.

While Hardcore can be interpreted as a maniac, the most active, totality, full of commitment. Usually people who are hardcore towards something they like tend to dedicate their time, energy, material & thoughts to it.

Well, this also applies in the game world. For example, what we are discussing here is Rise of Kingdoms, a casual player plays without being objective and at will whenever he wants to be online according to his mood.

Gaming Equipment

*Casual Rise of Kingdoms players just need to play the RoK game on their cellphone, either iPhone or Android, whatever it is and it’s more practical to play anywhere.

*Hardcore players are more concerned with the height of the hardware in order to get the maximum gaming experience. For example: Must play using BlueStacks Emulator on a assembled PC worth tens of millions of rupiah, accessories Mouse, Headset, Keyboard with qualified specifications, setup the room as comfortable as possible. Behavior

*If Casual Player Rise of Kingdoms playing games just to fill spare time. Login only to get rid of boredom for fun.

It doesn’t matter if you lose or win, because the fun of playing the game is the main thing. In Rise of Kingdoms, it’s great to finish events with your alliance friends.

*Hardcore Player on the other hand, they take RoK game very seriously in their life. High dedication, especially if he becomes R4, must monitor all players in his alliance both data and statistics updates for each player, especially during KvK.

Hardcore type doesn’t want to lose, has to win, even if he gets dizzy, he has to find a way to win the fight. The majority of them prefer to regulate than be governed.

Time

*In terms of time spent, Casual players average less than 2-3 hours per day. Anyway, if they feel they have free time & are bored in real life, just log in to RoK.

*While Hardcore players will exceed 3 hours a day every day. Especially if there is a war in the Lost Kingdom, they are ready to stay up late to defend a kingdom that doesn’t necessarily care about him.

Game Knowledge

*Casual: Don’t want to know too much, who is the commander to focus on, what is the function of the commander. What is the KvK strategy, what to do to complete certain events, less interested in exploring further & don’t care.

*Hardcore: Learn every ins and outs of the game, what to do & avoid. Want to achieve objectives, for example adding individual points in KvK so you can get Legendary Sculpture even though you have to farm duel T1. Know all the tricks from the YouTuber Rise of Kingdoms tutorial.

Sometimes there is Hardcore who is obsessed with being an important part of a Kingdom, or is considered a royal council aka Kingdom Council on the server. If he is not selected, then feel disappointed & usually choose migration.

Casual players rarely top-up, is the Minamoto no Yoshitsune icon or logo still there? No problem. Too far behind? Yes, leave it alone, 40M power but few kill points? Does not matter. Got zero? Nothing to lose, they won’t be depressed just because of the game.

Meanwhile Hardcore has its own target. In the first 200-300 days, I want the expertise of YSG (Yi Seong-Gye), Alexander the Great (Alexanded The Great), Saladin, Charles Martel.

They also seem to feel the pressure of the mandatory VIP 14 to get 3 free palbots per day, quickly unlock T5 to farming Barbarian Fort to get the Book of Covenant so that they are not insecure anymore because their friends’ progress is faster. Even though Rise of Kingdoms is an RTS game that never ends.

* When the Ceroli Crisis Event Comes *

Casual Player: Not bad, let’s try to beat this boss at the highest level. If it fails? Yes, no problem, there will be another time because later the event will return.

Hardcore: Push continues to have to win on the same day defeating all the bosses with the most difficult levels, basically having to win the battle before the event ends, as if Rise of Kingdoms will close the server tomorrow.

* When War in Lost Kingdom KvK *

Casual Player: Join enough wars for fun. If you’re bored? That’s it, back off and rest, teleport to the safe zone.

Can’t get rewarded? It doesn’t matter & it doesn’t matter either, the important thing is that you’re satisfied with having fun. Then switch to another game.

Hardcore Player: Have their own objectives & missions, want to continue war until at least get Crusader Rewards. Willing to put aside activities in the real world to maintain the prestige of the Kingdom in kvk. Do not back down as long as the troops are still there, even though the hospital has exceeded the capacity limit.

* Choosing an Alliance *

– The average casual player prioritizes their togetherness with their friends, wants to be in an alliance wherever as long as they are with their friends so they can complete events & have fun together.

– On the other hand, Hardcore players tend to choose the strongest alliance in terms of power. This is because they want an alliance with Big Spender players who often top-up in order to get Golden Chests or GC.

It is undeniable, that being able to GC is liked by almost all Rise of Kingdoms players. Because the Golden Chest contains items or gifts that can help a RoK governor progress faster.

Those are the differences between Casual Player Rise of Kingdoms and Hardcore, actually almost all games have these two types of players.
