The Importance of Diplomacy in Game Rise of Kingdoms
As a game that is full of history and royal atmosphere, the governor in Rise of Kingdoms must be smart in managing an alliance. Including in terms of recruiting people who become R4 (Officers) to be trusted to carry out diplomacy.
In the RoK game, diplomacy is indeed important. What’s important? Than we all thought. A small example, at the beginning of the formation of the Kingdom server we formed an alliance, but not alone. In that Kingdom there must be tens to hundreds of other alliances.
If it turns out that our alliance is among the strongest on a server, then diplomacy is mandatory. What for? Lots. For example: Territory, Buildings / Structures for Buffs, applying rules in the Kingdom and projects for Lost Kingdom (KvK) events.
Officials or Leaders / Alliance leaders must discuss with other alliance leaders about the territories they will control, as well as buildings such as the Sanctum, Altar, Shrine to the Lost Temple which will be taken anywhere to get buffs.
For example, there are 4 major alliances, then the territory and buildings will be divided. Example: the CN54 alliance takes the Atlantis area and its buildings completely, while the 954R gets a share starting from the I Olympia area.
Everything has to be discussed. But what if it turns out that there are alliance leaders and officials who are stubborn, arrogant players, and don’t want to share the building structure for the buff?
Then the only way is War! Yes, Civil War had to happen to show the strength of the hundreds of members of each alliance. Some players’ arrogance is often the cause of them acting up in each kingdom.
The winner of the battle will usually control the desired structure and territory. While the losing party must accept it, not a few have decided to migrate to another server.
But if it’s still very new, it’s a good idea to avoid what is called Civil War as much as possible. Civil war in Rise of Kingdoms is not recommended because it will only weaken the strength of a kingdom, wasting RSS/SDA and troops in vain.
That’s why we have discussed about Kingdom Council in the previous article. What are their duties, how to become part of the Council and what are the advantages and disadvantages of managing the kingdom.
The royal staff or council is formed by taking representatives from each alliance to determine all kinds of decisions that are best for the Kingdom without having to carry out Civil War.
Because again, the main objective in Rise of Kingdoms is to build cohesiveness between players & alliances, to prepare for the real event, namely Kingdom vs Kingdom (KvK) or commonly called The Lost Kingdom which has many rewards.
Well, entering this KvK then Diplomacy will be even more important. Because we will compete against other kingdoms and make friends with other kingdoms too. There are at least 8 Kingdoms participating.
Diplomacy to find which kingdom to become an ally, must be very careful. Discuss with the King / King of other kingdoms as well as possible. Because, there has been a lot of betrayal in KvK Rise of Kingdoms in the midst of this 50-day event that is hard to avoid.
As we always discussed before, that Rise of Kingdoms game is full of drama. Moreover, if there is a group of unscrupulous players who refuse to carry out diplomacy in the kingdom and are too selfish, they must clearly be removed.
Even developer Lilith always says, “Diplomacy is probably more important than you think.” There is no such thing as a Solo Player in Rise of Kingdoms, if we want to make more significant progress and undergo events, we have to be united when we join an alliance.
