NetEase Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War has officially launched in Europe, America, Oceania, and Southeast Asia on September 23 yesterday. This officially licensed mobile game is a strategy game will be available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store. Players are invited to join the great war and experience this faithful performance of Middleearth, based on the iconic trilogy of books by JRR Tolkien’s winning film and the OSCAR® adaptation directed by Peter Jackson.
The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War is a Geo-strategic Seasonal Game in which players must
build their armies and strategically expand their territory in pursuit of the One Ring. During their conquests, players will also be able to encounter heroes who have fascinated readers for decades, including the sword-wielding leader Aragorn, the wise wizard Gandalf, the valiant ring bearer Frodo and many other iconic characters in their quest to save Middleearth.
Developer NetEase Games has built a very realistic 3D rendition of Middle-earth and the characters in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, complete with Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits, Orcs and more. As players navigate battles with their favorite The Lord of the Rings characters, they’ll encounter a myriad of automatically generated Middle-earth natural resources on the map, as well as special buff items that can fortify their troops. The expansive map is full of details, containing millions of these resource-rich tiles for players to conquer and occupy.
Fans will also form Fellowships designed to encourage collaborative strategy between players. Based on their choice to side with good or evil, players can form either a Fellowship or a Warband with other players and take to the battlefield to triumph over their enemies tile by tile. This tile-based system gives players of all levels an accessible way to learn and master the Arda landscape as they conquer and expand their territory.
Players must use strategy and skill to capture the One Ring and defeat their enemies in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War. The game features an open and ever-changing battlefield where all players can achieve victory through their strategy, cooperation and collective action with their Fellowship or Warband members.
