The Origin of JKT48 and AKB48 Golden Rules Said Yasushi Akimoto
It’s no secret, wota friends, that in the AKB48 Group there are many controversial rules that are included in one unit called the Golden Rules. One of them is Love-Ban or Anti-Love Rules.
The ban on love in the 48 groups applies to all active members. It is not clear how detailed the regulations are, whether members are prohibited from having a girlfriend or are allowed to have a lover as long as they bear their own risk.
Especially in JKT48, there have been many times since the era of the first generation when members were invited to appear on TV shows and even JKT members themselves acknowledged the existence of this Golden Rules which required them to let go of their teenage years without dating.
Based on the confession of a number of former members also confirmed the existence of the golden rule. Unfortunately, the purpose of making this rule is still unclear, because since Akimoto Yasushi was created as the producer and originator of the idea, this rule has not really explained in detail.
Until finally in an interview with a Japanese tabloid he revealed the reason behind all this commotion. Yasushi Akimoto said the Golden Rules were made based on the members’ own experiences.
At that time AKB48 was not very popular and even still an amateur idol group, one night at a theater performance, first generation members Takahashi Minami and Atsuko Maeda performed less than optimally to entertain their fans.
Aki-P asked Takamina and Acchan to be more open and pour out all his heart so that he too can help. Minami Takahashi turned out to be confiding in Yasushi Akimoto that he had just been betrayed.
Takamina’s boyfriend at that time had an affair, so she felt very disappointed. Mixed feelings, made Takahashi Minami not optimal on stage.
The same thing was conveyed by Acchan who turned out to have just broken up with his girlfriend, at that time Maeda Atsuko was still 16 years old. I don’t know where the idea came from and what wind came to Yasushi Akimoto, he also applied the Anti-Love rule.
Initially there was only one Golden Rules, namely the Anti-Love Rules. As time goes on, it increases. Some of them are members are prohibited from consuming illegal drinks, are not allowed to smoke, and maintain ethics outside of AKB48 activities so as not to damage the group’s good name.
Since the implementation of this rule, members who violate the rules are called Scandals. Not a few active personnel or former members of the 48 Families inside and outside Japan were dragged into cases of violating the Golden Rules due to their own actions.
JKT48 as the sister group of AKB48 Jakarta branch also respects the Golden Rules. Because it turns out, the existence of this controversial rule benefits the company from a business perspective as well.
Apparently the AKB48 version of the Golden Rules has become a benchmark for the idol industry in the country of Sakura. Because nowadays even non-48G idol groups apply similar rules.
Apart from being a business, they also have a strong attitude in appreciating fan support. In the mindset of people there, dating can hinder a career if you are confused, one of which is to look bad on stage and make fans who watch it disappointed.
All idol groups that are tied to Yasushi Akimoto have Golden Rules. Such as AKB48 Group (NMB48, SKE48, HKT48, NGT48, STU48, JKT48, BNK48, MNL48, SGO48, CGM48, Team TP & Team SH), Sakamichi Series (Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, Hinatazaka46), Last Idol, 22/7, Equal = LOVE, Not Equal ME.
After more than a decade, Atsuko Maeda acknowledged & realized that the existence of the Golden Rules indirectly helped raise the name and popularity of AKB48, which at that time was almost disbanded due to lack of fans.
That’s the story of the beginning of the creation or the occurrence of the Golden Rules in the AKB48 Group, which until now still applies to JKT48 and all AKB sister groups, even SNH48 which incidentally is independent.
