It’s no longer a secret, wota friends, that the music industry in Japan seems endless. That’s right, because the majority of girl groups, girl groups or idol groups there implement a re-generation system, for example AKB48 Group which already has dozens of generations and thousands of members.

Although the popularity of J-Pop internationally must be admittedly still inferior to K-Pop, the citizens of Sakura country themselves provide full support for their local musicians. Hence, many of them tend to last quite a while.

Even so popular among the public, a number of companies & music agencies there are busy forming new groups. For example, the newcomer NiziU immediately skyrocketed his name.

To enliven and find out which groups attract the most attention and public interest, Nikkei Entertainment media held an open survey.

The survey entitled “Nikkei Entertainment Talent Power Ranking 2022 Female Group” is always held every year. Involving almost all professional idol groups that disbanded and are still active today.

Something is missing from this year’s list, namely E-Girls. Meanwhile, the girl group TWICE rose one point from the previous seventh place, now occupying the 6th rank. Unique for IZONE, although it has been declared disbanded, it still attracts public interest.
