Chris Evans Once Refused To Play Captain America, Why?

Christopher Robert “Chris” Evans is an American actor who started his career in the film industry through the television series Opposite Sex (2000). Thanks to his charming acting, he is also trusted to star in Hollywood hits, such as The Orphan King, Cellular, Fantastic Four, and many others.
His career in the acting world skyrocketed, after successfully starring in the film Captain America: The First Avenger with his role as Steve Rogers aka Captain America. But who would have thought, it turns out that Chris had initially refused an offer to star in the character, you know, guys!
Marvel Studios Was Rejected by Chris Evans After Offering Captain America’s Character
Some time ago, Chris Evans’ mother, Lisa Capuano Evans, did an interview with Esquire and provides an interesting fact regarding the career of the child.

In the interview, Lisa said that Chris had talked about when he got an offer to play in the film Captain America: The First Avengers. Instead of being happy, Chris actually seemed hesitant when he wanted to take the role.
The reason for his hesitation was that he was worried that after starring in the film, he would lose his privacy so he could not enjoy his quiet and peaceful life. In essence, Chris Evans is afraid that he will be known by many people if he accepts a proposal from Marvel Studios.
“He was afraid of losing his anonymity,” said Lisa Hi.
“He said, ‘I now have a career where I can do what I love. I can walk my dog. Nothing bothers me. Nobody talks to me. I can go anywhere I want. And I’m afraid to lose it all,” he added.
Furthermore, Lisa tried to continue to strengthen her son’s heart to accept an offer from Marvel Studios to play the character of Captain America in the film Captain America: The First Avengers.
“I said to him, “See, you want to do acting work for the rest of your life, right? If you accept this role, you will have that opportunity,” continued the mother.

After hearing advice from his mother, Chris Evans finally agreed to work with Marvel Studios to star in the film Captain America: The First Avengers. Until now, his role as Steve Rogers is still appreciated by many people, especially Marvel fans.
