The Outlaws sequel, The Roundup, managed to reach 10.5 million viewers for 4 weeks airing at the South Korean box office. In addition, this film also managed to set a new record and beat the achievements of the film Parasite (2019).

According to data released by the Korean Film Council, it was recorded that since Sunday (12/6) the audience for The Roundup had reached 10,503.886. This figure successfully beat the film Parasite which won 10,313,201 viewers in 2019.

The achievements achieved by The Roundup also managed to bring it to position 19 as the highest-grossing local film in Korea. The sequel to The Outlaws is still inferior to several other Korean hit films, such as Train to Busan (11.56 million), The Attorney (11.37 million), Heundae (11.32 million) and Silmido (11.07 million). .
Not only that, ticket sales that reached 10.5 million made The Roundup the highest-grossing Korean film released in May 2022. It is not impossible, there will be several other records that this film will break.
The Roundup itself tells the story of a reliable detective named Ma Suk-do (Ma Dong-seok) who gets a mission to bring a suspect who is foggy to Vietnam to return to South Korea so that he can undergo a punishment commensurate with his actions in the film The Outlaws.
However, when he arrived in Vietnam, Ma Suk-do was surprised by reports of a sadistic murder case against a tourist that often occurs in the country. As a result, he also has to solve his new case while still looking for the whereabouts of the suspect he wants to bring back to Korea.
