Delayed, Sherina 2's Adventure is Finally Officially Working!

The film Adventures of Sherina 2 has finally been officially made, after being absent from greeting fans for 22 years. Directed by Riri Riza, this film will present a super fresh storyline!

If we flashback a little, Petualangan Sherina is a musical comedy film that was released on June 14, 2000. Since it was first released, Petualangan Sherina has immediately received a lot of appreciation from film critics.

After 22 years have passed, Mira Lesmana as a producer also wants to repeat the success of the film by making the first sequel to Adventure Sherina.

Official, Sherina 2 Adventure Enters Production Stage

On Tuesday (14/6), MilesFilm via account Twitterannounced that Sherina’s Adventure 2 is officially in the works. Not to forget, MilesFilm also shared the official poster of the film.

“Sherina and Sadam adults who have been separated for a long time, will meet again in the tropical forest, facing a challenging adventure,” wrote MilesFilm.

Mira Lesmana also posted the official poster of the sequel to Sherina’s Adventure. In the post that he uploaded through his Instagram account, there was a fact that the production of this film had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic that had hit Indonesia.

“We are celebrating today by announcing that the sequel, after 2 years of delay, will be entering production! Fans will soon meet Sherina and Sadam again, reminiscing in a new adventure with songs that are no less captivating,” wrote Mira Lesmana, via her Instagram called @mirles.

Sherina’s 2nd adventure will bring back actress Sherina Munaf as Sherina and Derby Romero as Sadam. The two of them will be reunited after being separated for a long time.

There is no further information when the sequel to Sherina’s Adventure will be released. However, it is likely that this film will only be shown in the middle of 2023. We’re just waiting for further news, guys!
