Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery Becomes the Sequel Title to Knives Out
Knives Out 2 director Rian Johnson announced that Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will be the title for the sequel. With this latest title, Knives Ou 2 is expected to bring a much more exciting storyline than the first series.
Knives Out itself is a film from the United States in the genre of drama, comedy, and crime which was released in 2019. The film, directed by Rian Johnson, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2019. Since its release in theaters in November 2019, the film has been receiving high praise from film critics.
Reflecting on this, the director also wants to bring the 2nd Knives Out back to the big screen in the hope of getting a better achievement than the first Knives Out. Some details regarding this sequel have also been announced directly by Rian Johnson.

Recently, Rian Johnson through the account Twitter officially announced the title that he will use in the sequel to Knives Out 2. Of all the titles on his mind, Johnson finally chose Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

“The next Benoit Blanc case, the continuation of Knives Out, is called GLASS ONION,” wrote Rian Johnson.
It didn’t take long, the tweet immediately went viral in cyberspace, especially Twitter. From the observations of the SPIN team, a lot of people welcomed this news, because they couldn’t wait for the puzzle that would be presented again by the director in Knives Out 2.
Still in his tweet, Rian Johnson did not hesitate to admit that he was very inspired by Agatha Christie in making this film. FYIAgatha Christie is a famous novelist who is very proficient in making stories with the detective genre.
“Under the detective story umbrella he wrote spy thrillers, proto-slasher horror, serial killer hunts, gothic romances, psychological character studies, travel notes,” says Rian Johnson.
“When I was working on Knives Out, that was the reason I was excited about the prospect of making more mystery with Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc,” he added.
In addition, Rian Johnson also announced several actors who will act in Knives Out 2, they are Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista and Leslie Odom Jr.

Until now, it is not known for sure how the storyline will be presented in this sequel. To be sure, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will present a different story from the first Knives Out.
