Jamie Bower's Story as Vecna in Stranger Things Season 4
Jamie Bower recently shared his experience playing the character Vecna in Stranger Things Season 4. According to him, there were several unique moments when he learned to immerse himself in the role.
James Metcalfe Campbell Bower, or who is often called Jamie Bower is an English actor, model, and singer who made his debut in the acting world through the film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) as Anthony Hope.
In 2022, he was trusted by the Duffer Brothers to star in one of the best Netflix original series titled Stranger Things Season 4. In this series, Bower plays a scary creature named Vecna.

To Varietythe 33-year-old actor admitted that he had to do several ways to explore the character of Vecna which was full of revenge and hatred towards Eleven and his friends.

“Unearthing that (character) from within me took a lot of effort. I didn’t speak to anyone outside of the Stranger Things world for at least four days before filming,” said Jamie Bower, quoted by Variety via CNN Indonesia.
“I also did some wild things. If anyone saw me walking around Atlanta at 2am and talking to myself, they’d understand. I just bring a lot of anger, especially for Vecna,” he added.
Furthermore, Bower said that his scary appearance in Stranger Things 4 was not a CGI effect, but an original make-up that had to be done for 7 hours, you know! To remove it, he and the wardrobe team took approximately 1 hour.
However, Jamie Bower’s efforts in the series paid off, guys, because his role as Vecna received a lot of appreciation from the audience and film critics.
