Netflix Announces Squid Game Will Continue to Season 2

Netflix has officially announced that the Squid Game series will continue into season 2. This announcement was also warmly welcomed by the community movie geek worldwide, including Indonesia.

Squid Game is a survival-themed Netflix original series written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The series was first released on September 17, 2021 and managed to get a positive response from the audience. In fact, Squid Game has won several prestigious awards, you know, guys!

Because of this success, Netflix and Hwang Dong-hyuk finally worked together again to bring the series into a second season, which will bring a more exciting and tense storyline than the previous season.

Squid Game Season 2 Will Soon Be Worked On By Netflix!

Via account Twitter officially, Netflix announced that it would bring Squid Game to Season 2. It didn’t take long, this tweet immediately went viral in cyberspace, especially Twitter.

Hwang Dong-hyuk as the writer and director of Squid Game also gave an open letter to his fans who have been waiting for news about the development of Squid Game season 2.

“It took 12 years to work on the first season of the Squid Game last year. However, it only took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever,” wrote Dong-hyuk.

“As a writer, director and producer of Squid Game, a big shout out to fans around the world. Thank you for watching and liking our show.”

“And now, Gi-hun is back, Front Man is back, season two is coming. Man in uniform ddakji will probably be back too. You will also be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su,” explained Dong-hyuk.

There is no further news about the storyline that Dong-hyuk will use in this new series. However, he once leaked to Vanity Fair if Squid Game 2 will explore the solidarity of its players.

“Humanity will be tested again through those games again. I want to ask a question, ‘Is it true that solidarity between people can be created?’ Dong-hyuk said.
