Thor 4 director Taika Waititi has revealed the reasons Christian Bale and Natalie Portman want to star in the new film. According to Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok has an important role in the presence of these two actors.
Thor: Love and Thunder is one of the 4th phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film that will be released this year. Many of his fans can’t wait to see the action of the god of thunder against his new enemy.
In addition to presenting Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Marvel Studios also brought the legendary actor Christian Bale into the film. Not to forget, Natalie Portman aka Jane Foster is also featured again after being absent from the previous series.

While conducting an interview with Fandango All AccessTaika Waititi shared his experience when he wanted Christian Bale to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.

According to Taika Waititi, Christian Bale wants to star in the 4th Thor sequel because he was impressed by what Marvel Studios showed in Thor: Ragnarok.
“I think Thor: Ragnarok was quite successful and attracted other actors, like Christian Bale. He’s seen Thor: Ragnarok and said ‘I want to do a fun role too’ he said, then joined us.” said Taika Waititi.
In addition, Taika Waititi also explained the reason for Natalie Portman’s comeback in this film. It is known, Portman was absent from Thor: Ragnarok, which disappointed his fans.
Now, in Thor: Love and Thunder, Natalie Portman aka Jane Foster has transformed into Lady Thor and is able to take up Thor’s mainstay weapon, Mjolnir.
“Natalie also watched Thor: Ragnarok, so I’m sure that her character will have exciting changes and adventures because, you know, her character in the previous films wasn’t made this interesting (being Mighty Thor). He’s interested too.” he explained.
