10 Causes and Ways to Overcome a Computer/Laptop Affected by a Virus (shortcut)
A laptop infected with the Wannacry Ransomeware virus, be careful not to cry!!! |
Kumparantekno – The name of a computer virus, of course, is different from viruses that are in the human body. Never equate computer viruses with human viruses. (that’s a different thing)
Computer viruses and human viruses are different, but they have a way of working.wicked” which is almost the same. If you pay attention, the virus that is in the human body is like the picture below.
Viruses in the human body – source: Google.com |
As for a computer virus, it can be an application program (malicious algorithm), which has a more dominant goal of stealing data, damaging the OS system, and other detrimental actions.
The simple physical form will be something like this.
Computer viruses in the form of evil algorithms – source: Google.com |
The virus shape you see above is just a “description” which I found from several sources on the internet. Yep, more or less, it looks like that, the program contains a set of algorithms “wicked”. (can be an application/game)
Same, but different…
Then, why do these two things have the same term? (Virus)
Because as I said earlier, the way viruses work on computers and humans is almost the same. That is a foreign object that infiltrates a system.
The system, can be an OS or a human body system that is the target of infiltration by viruses. The purpose of this virus can be for good or it can also have a bad impact. Depends.
Foreign object from outside trying to get into “in“, it will be easier if the term is equated with the existing one, namely “Virus”. (Though that’s just my personal opinion though)
10 causes, the computer can get a virus attack…
Below I have written down some of the causes that allow the favorite computer or laptop that you are using to be infected with a virus. (especially for Windows OS)
Please read carefully…
1. Frequently unplug/plug flashdisk
Indeed, frequently unplugging/plugging storage media via USB devices is an action that is difficult to get rid of. (I am also a hobbyist and often do this, out of necessity)
With more and more external devices being connected to PCs/laptops, it will also go hand in hand with the increase.”risk“There is a possibility of an intruder coming in. (foreign body attack, virus)
This foreign object from outside will enter via the USB line, then it will “active” when the user opens the malicious program. So, be careful when opening application programs. (whatever program it is)
Especially if you frequently unplug/plug in storage media such as flash drives, external hard drives, and so on.
2. Downloading random files is not clear
Usually, while you are having fun surfing in cyberspace, there is actually a danger lurking about the health of the Operating System that you are currently using. (Windows OS of course)
The files that you download may contain/inserted by a dangerous virus, especially in strange program file types with the extension “exe”. (strange program)exe” should be suspected)
So, be careful when downloading a file, or at least you have to understand what function and file you are downloading.
One more thing, I suggest if you want to download application software, download it directly from the official website. (the reason, of course, is safer)
3. Install the program carelessly
Before installing an application program, I suggest checking the application first. (is it still healthy, or has it been infected by a virus)
For certain programs, usually it is automatically detected by antivirus. Even if your installed antivirus can recognize it. (to be more sure, scan manually too)
Therefore, update the antivirus database that you use so that it (antivirus) can recognize new viruses. (For example, the virus that was in an uproar at the time this article was written, ie WannaCry ransomware)
4. As long as you follow the tutorial, even though you don’t understand it
If you don’t/don’t understand what you are doing when following a tutorial, then my advice is, cancel your intention to do the tutorial steps again. (if not sure/half)
It’s better to understand first and convince yourself that you can & really understand what you’re doing in following the tutorial steps. (eg changing registry, services, system32, etc.)
As the saying goes:
“Better slow, as long as it goes as expected.”
(Without needlessly causing ridiculous damage)
5. Don’t use/install antivirus
You need to know, that the antivirus IMPORTANT!
It is highly recommended if you are currently still using the Old School OS. For example, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The three OS would be nice if equipped with additional antivirus.
Meanwhile, if you are already using Windows 10, you no longer need to use an external antivirus. It is better for you to use the default antivirus (Defender) but in an UPDATED condition.
Please note, even if you have installed the latest antivirus, actually the possibility of getting infected with the virus is still there. (no system is secure, alias there are always loopholes)
It all depends on”user” who wears, and also how much “great“The maker of the virus (cr*cker) earlier.
6. Rarely/never update antivirus
The function of updating the antivirus is quite a lot.
One of its most important uses is that it can increase the number of virus databases that can be recognized as programs.dangerous”.
So, if your antivirus is rarely updated, then most likely it (antivirus) will not recognize new viruses which will continue to increase over time. (For example, the new WannaCry Ransomeware virus)
If the antivirus cannot recognize whether the program that is stored is classified as malicious or not, then you can be sure that the antivirus will ignore the program “wickedto tamper with computer systems.
He (antivirus) will be silent and think that Everything’s Gonna Be Alright. In fact, there are hidden threats from malicious programs that have been ignored by the anti-virus.less updates” the.
7. Use/install pirated software
Make no mistake, using pirated software also has a risk of attack VIRUS!
Clever Crackers take advantage of this situation to spread their creation viruses via P*atch, K*ygen, and other obscure files to trick ordinary computer users who lack knowledge.
Without you realizing it, P*tch & Crack, which you have used to pirate other people’s software, actually has a task “side” whose job you do not even know. (mysterious)
8. Use/install pirated games
Almost the same as number 7 above, that pirated games that use Patch, K*ygen, and other obscure files also have the risk of being infected with the same virus. (inserted by a virus in a P*tch/K*ygen)
Using pirated applications or games will pose a security risk & feelings of guilt due to using other people’s goods without the permission of the owner. (developers)
If possible, try to stop pirating software behavior. Do not let it become a field of sin “unlimited” for you. At the very least, reduce the use of pirated software gradually.
In this way, it might be easier.
That is, if you still have a conscience.
9. Disable Firewall & Windows updates
Windows Firewall & Windows update has also become the target of several Windows OS services that are often in “disabled“In order to support maximum gaming performance. (in the past, I did it too)
As I have written in another article entitled 20 Windows Services that are Safe to Stop!
In this article, I have written down which Windows services are safe to turn off in order to support the most powerful, optimal and maximum Windows performance.
But actually, there are several services that are quite important in maintaining the security of the Windows OS in the face of virus attacks in the future. One of them (there are 2) Firewall & Windows update.
10. Lack of knowledge of technological developments
For this one, more precisely covering all 9 of the list above, namely the lack of knowledge about the development of the world of technology.
With the existence of science, of course it will reduce/avoid/prevent silly mistakes that shouldn’t have happened. (just a waste of time)
You may not use any antivirus (for example like that), but of course you also have to know some of the risks & challenges that you will encounter in the future.
how much”safe“an operating system, it depends on how “intelligentthe wearer.
Left like that.
Makes sense?
How to prevent it?
If you want to prevent a computer virus attack, it’s easy. Just do it”vice versa“From the 10 reasons that I have written above. (or, more precisely 9 Reasons only)
Yep, easy right?
Conclusion…
So the conclusion is, Preventing the virus is better than having to remove the virus. (What are you talking about)
Quite short, solid, and not clear.
Addition…
There’s one more thing I want to say…
By reading the important points of the article above, I hope that now you really understand how to avoid, overcome, and know what is allowed & what not to do. (virus)
And, it would be nice if you would take the time to share (share) my simple writing on social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc). I thank you profusely.
Notes…
Remember, the points I wrote above are my own personal opinion. So it’s only natural if there are things that don’t suit/agree with those of you who are reading this article.
