How To Enable FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) In DotA 2

FidelityFX Super Resolution is an upscaling feature developed by AMD and was just released last August, there are still very few games that support this feature and one of the games that supports FidelityFX is DotA 2. This feature allows you to get more fps without reducing the visual graphics you experience. play, it’s like if you play a high setting game you get 40 fps so with FidelityFX you can keep high settings but get 50 – 60 fps without reducing the resolution of the game you are playing. Even though FidelityFX is developed by AMD, it works on Intel and Nvidia graphics cards.

Steps to Activate FSR in DotA 2:

1. Run the DotA 2 game, then open DotA 2 “Settings”.

2. Click on the “Video” tab and enable “Anti Aliasing”

3. Set “Game Screen Render Quality” below 100%, between 40% – 99%

4. Make sure the “Rendering API” you are using is “DirectX11” or “Vulkan”

5. Then the option to activate FidelityFX Super Resolution will automatically open and you can activate it

6. Done, happy playing!

Notes:

Make sure you have updated the graphic driver to the latest version, especially for AMD graphic card users and update Dota 2, of course.

If there is a question that FSR is better in the Dx11 or Vulkan rendering api then it depends, because everyone’s benchmarks are different, but the majority are superior to Dx11.

To enable FSR on Intel/Nvidia VGA, the method is the same.

If you feel that FSR doesn’t have any effect, yes, because this is still in its early stages, especially for the game DotA 2 which is still relatively new.
