How to Extract or Edit Subtitles from an MKV Video

MKV videos usually use the .ssa subtitle format which sometimes cannot appear on some default Android video players, of course by taking them we can edit the subtitles again and make them into .srt format or something else so they can appear on all default Android video players. Not only taking, we can also edit the subtitle text so you can take and edit the text at the same time.

How to Fetch or Edit MKV Subtitles (.SSA):

1. Install the downloaded “Subtitle Edit”.

2. Then open “Subtitle Edit”

3. Then click on “Open”

4. After that, select the video that you want to take or edit the subtitles for, then click “Open”

5. Now, it will open as shown below, please edit as you like, then click “Save”, then select Save as type (please choose yourself) :

– “Advanced Sub Station Alpha” = .ass

– “Sub Station Alpha” = .ssa

5. Completed subtitles have been taken or edited!

Notes:

Sometimes there are subtitles from videos that cannot be taken or edited anymore because the subtitles are made directly on the video.
