How to Install Net Framework 3.5 Offline on Windows 10 Pro (work)

Almost the same as in Windows 8 (netfx3)

Kumparantekno – Of course, you have experienced cases in Windows 10 when you open certain games, suddenly a pop up appears that says the OS Windows 10 that you are using does not have Net Framework 3.5 installed. Then, how do you install the Framework?

You don’t need to worry when you open several game titles then pop ups like that appear. Because, on the latest versions of Windows such as Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows 10, the OS developer does not automatically install the Net Framework 3.5 component in it.

The NET Framework components are already stored as files in the Windows 8 / 8.1 installer folder. The file location is located at “Windows ISO:\sources\sxs”. (The folder named “sxs” is a Net Framework file that you can use to install.

Instead, in Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows 10, Net Framework version 4.5 is installed in it by default. Unlike the previous OS, namely Windows 7, by default installed is Net Framework 3.5. (version 4.5 not yet installed)

Prepare to install net framework 3.5

Before installing Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10 offline, of course you have to prepare the ingredients first. Below I have prepared the materials needed.

Another way to be able to get Net Framework 3.5 Offline, namely by taking it from the “Windows 10.iso/source/sxs” folder. (must have ISO file from Windows 10)

Well, the folder called “sxs” is in that location Net Framework 3.5 which you can use to install Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10.

As for Windows 7 / 8, the way to get the Net Framework 3.5 files is exactly the same.

Steps to Install Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10

1. First, first copy the “sxs” (Net Framework 3.5) folder that I have prepared above to Partition C:\sxs.
   

   Copy the file “Net Framework” to partition C

2. Second, after copying the “sxs” folder to Partition C, then open CMD (Command Prompt) as Administrator.
   

   Open CMD

3. Third, after CMD opens, type the command “cd/”, then press “Enter”.
   

   Type the command “cd/”

4. Fourth, after pressing enter, type this command again “dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:netfx3 /source:c:\sxs”, then press “Enter” then the install process will take place.
   

   Type the command “dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:netfx3 /source:c:\sxs”

5. Fifth, you wait until 100%.

For those of you who don’t know, you can also do the steps above on Windows 7 and 8. The method is exactly the same, only the difference is in the Net FX file. (stay adjusted)

Notes…

If an error occurs during the install process, chances are that you made a mistake in writing the command at CMD (Command Prompt). So, if there is an error or error, please repeat the command again until it is correct.
