How to Overcome Account Verification SMS Cannot Be Sent on the Credit Payment Method on the Play Store

Hello friends, welcome to our blog Davar Pedia, after in the previous article we discussed how to overcome and add credit payment methods on the Google Play Store that do not appear according to the operator currently using, in this article we will discuss regarding tricks on how to deal with errors that appear during the verification process and cause failure and SMS won’t be sent on the Google Play Store.

This error usually appears when adding a credit payment method, which sounds “Sms Account verification could not be sent, please try again“. And the problem did not go away, even though I myself tried it many times. As for the appearance, you can see in the image below.

The reason we created this article is because in the previous article there were several comments from visitors who asked about it in the comment pool. And having the same problem. So I also thought of making an article that hopefully can overcome the problems that my friends are currently experiencing.

All right, friends, you can see the steps as follows.

How to Overcome Account Verification SMS Cannot Be Sent on Google Play Store

1. Place the card used in the Sim 1 slot

The first step to fix this, please change the sim card that you want to use as a credit payment method on the Play Store in sim slot 1. So, for example, I used the Axis provider, so I put it in the first slot.

2. Set SMS and Phone Settings on Sim 1

Okay, the next step is to set the SIM card manager, which is to be more precise, in the sms and phone section, we set it to SIM 1. The way we open the menu Settings alias arrangement on the cellphone >> we open the settings Connection >> then we scroll down and look for settings Sim card manager >> then in the selected card column in the call section we set it to SIM 1as well as text messages alias sms we also set on SIM 1.

Optional

But if you don’t want to bother, we can use just one Sim Card first. To make it easier, we can deactivate a SIM card that is not used as a credit payment method, in the SIM card manager settings menu. So that we can use 1 card, without the need to remove it first.

3. Make sure the Message Center Number is Filled

Third, make sure that the cellphone you are using, the message center number is filled in correctly and matches the operator you are currently using. You can check and adjust it if it’s not appropriate. How to open the application Message >> Open menu Text Message Settings >> to set it on the menu Message Center. To find out if it’s not appropriate, you can read the following article, a list of text message centers for all operators. (Also Read: List of Center Numbers for All Operators in Indonesia)

4. Add the cellphone number used on the Google account

  • Open the Google application on your Android phone, then when you are on the front page of the application, tap on profile icon which is located in the upper right corner.
  • Select the Google account that will be used on the Google Play Store, then select an option Manage your Google Account.
  • So that later we will be directed to Google account settings, here we move to the column Personal Info. To add a phone number, we scroll down and select an option Telephone.
  • As above, this is how it looks, actually here I have added a cellphone number. However, this number is not a number that I will add to the credit payment method. Here I will delete the number first. The way we select the number to be deleted, then tap on the icon trash can. Enter the password to verify, then we press the trash icon again to perform the deletion. Then select an option Delete Number to confirm.
  • After that, to add a number to a Google account, we select Add Number. Then enter the cellphone number in the column provided, then select it Furthermore.
  • Tap on the option Get Code so that Google immediately sends a verification code. If the SMS from Google has entered, immediately enter the code in the column provided. If you have selected an option Verification.
  • So that the cellphone number has been successfully added to the Google account.

5. Clear Google Play Store App Cache and Data

The next step, please delete the cache and data for the Play Store application through the cellphone settings. Steps:

  • Open settings, then continue opening Application Manager.
  • Before us show system apps first. Then we search and open the Google Play Store.
  • Then choose Clear Data.

6. Ensure Active SMS + Phone Permissions

The sixth step is to make sure Settings/Settings >> open menus Application Manager >> Select application Google Play Storeif it’s hard to find, previously activate the display option system app first. >> Then open the menu application permissions >> ensure permissions SMS and Phone already activated. If it’s not on, please turn it on. If it is checked, you leave it alone and can continue with the next step.

that app permissions on Google Play Store settings. This step is taken so that the Play Store can send text messages and make calls when needed. To check it, open on

The next step…

Now, if you have applied all of the tricks above, the next step is to check back on the Play Store to add a credit payment method according to the operator you are currently using. And whether the error still appears or not when trying to verify the phone number. Steps:

  1. Go to the Google Play Store
  2. Furthermore, if you are already on the front page of the Play Store, tap on line icon 3 in the top left corner.
  3. Then scroll down, and select menu Payment method.
  4. Then a payment method will be displayed that we can choose from, here the payment method with Axis credit has appeared, before it didn’t exist. So then select the operator to use, then verify the SMS as usual with the telephone number. In this step we need to wait for the verification sms, and then enter the code that Google sent.

And it turns out that there are no more warnings, because previously an error appeared, with the reading “The account verification sms could not be sent, please try again”. If you still don’t understand, friends can watch the video that we have made as follows.

So, that’s the way to deal with the warning that appears when adding a credit payment method, SMS verification cannot be sent. Well, maybe it’s just enough to get here for the discussion this time from us, if there are things that are not clear, or there are things you want to ask, please friends, you can convey them through the comments column below.

That is all and thank you.
