How to Overcome Google Classroom Can't Upload and Send Assignment Files

As an effort to advance the education system, the Google company released an application called Google Classroom which offers several features to support learning activities at home. Especially in the current situation, of course school activities must be postponed due to the current pandemic.

Google Classroom itself can be used for ongoing learning between subject teachers, and students can join to take part in the lessons that have been given at Google this class. Whether it’s distributing material, attendance, so that it can be used to give assignments to students complete with features for conducting direct assignment assessments.

However, in the Google Classroom application, problems are sometimes found during the assignment submission process, and an error occurs when submitting the file when the upload button is pressed. And usually there will be a warning notification that reads “Couldn’t attach drive file“.

So maybe this problem also occurs in class Google applications that friends have. So if you have experienced something similar to the problem above. On this occasion, we will provide a tutorial for friends on how to overcome and fix Google Classroom, which has an error and cannot send and upload assignment files.

All right, friends, you can see how to fix it as follows.

How to Overcome Google Classroom that Can’t Upload and Send Assignments

To overcome this here we will use the Google Drive application to upload the assignment file first. To get started, we just open the application.

Before we get to the heart of the discussion, make sure you are logged in using the same Google account between Google Drive and Classroom who have joined the class according to that subject.

  1. The first step to solve it, tap on the icon plus (+) located in the lower right corner. After that we select an option Uploads.
  2. Next, select the assignment file to upload. Because usually to upload files on Google Drive requires Wi-Fi then the upload process starts. Therefore, here we first change it to use cellular data so that the upload process can run normally. The way we open the menu Filesafter that we press upload icon that has an up arrow icon on the right side of the file to be uploaded, so that after clicking it, the task file in question will begin the upload process. After that, we wait until the file upload process is complete.
  3. If the uploading process is successful, before this file can be accessed by other people, we need to first activate the link sharing feature, how to tap on triple dot icon next to the right of the file name then tap on the option share links.

  4. Now, if the link sharing option has been activated and a notification appears that this feature is active, the next step is to open the Google Classroom application. Then open the class according to the folder to submit assignments to your supervising teacher, then tap on the menu Classwork proceed with opening the task in question.
  5. To send assignments to Classroom, we swipe up, then select an option Add Attachmentsthen select an option drives to attach the task file. Then select on option My Drive.
  6. Next, look for the assignment file that we uploaded earlier on Google Drive. After the task file has been selected, then tap on the option Choose.
  7. Next, we wait for the file attachment process to finish, so we can select the assignment file and attach it to Classroom without experiencing the error problem we experienced before.
  8. If you have tap on the option Submit then select an option Submit again to confirm. And finally, we wait until the assignment process on Google Classroom is successful.
  9. Finished.

So that’s our trick for how to deal with not being able to upload and send assignment files on the Google Classroom application. So by doing it this way, we can submit assignments smoothly and don’t experience any more errors when the upload button is pressed. Alright, that’s enough for this tutorial from us.
