How to Overcome the Xiaomi HP Flashing Process Running Very Long (failed)

Overcoming the Xiaomi HP Flashing Process Runs Very Long (fails)

I just had this incident this morning around 7 to 9 o’clock, that is the flashing process for the Xiaomi Redmi 4A cellphone that I did, for some reason, took a very long time even hours not finished.

Honestly, for a moment I was confused what to do. Because I’ve never experienced anything like this before. (the flashing process failed without leaving any message)

Some of the things / experiences that I usually have experienced when flashing failed before were only in the form of:

error(0x80004005: failed (remote: partition table doesn’t exist))

unspecified error 0x80004005 failed remote failed to write partition

unspecified error(0x80004005: missmatching image and device error

unspecified error(0x80004005: failed (remote: device is locked

unspecified error 0x80004005 error cannot load

unspecified error 0x80004005 failed remote critical partition flashing is not allowed

miflash unspecified error(0xffffffff:)

Apart from what I mentioned above, I have never experienced it.

Especially with the incident flashing process that takes a very long time up to hours. (Absolutely never)

Of course this is enough to make me goosebumps and a little dizzy for him.

Because there really isn’t any notification in the form of error codes, error notifications, and other similar notifications on the display of the Mi Flash Tool application.

The point is, suddenly the flashing process won’t finish, even for hours.

Some of the things I do…

After realizing that the (first) flashing process was not going as smoothly as usual, the first thing I tried to do was the following:

1. Replacing the data/USB cable (Second Flashing)

That morning I assumed that the data cable I was using might have experienced a bit “disconnected” on the little strip that is in the USB cable.

The reason was because the data cable that I used at that time did NOT use an ORI cable directly from a Xiaomi vendor for the first time. Namely using a data cable with the Robot brand.

I thought this could be the problem, but it was NOT.

Go to the next step, which is what I did…

2. Switching the USB slot (third flashing)

After replacing the USB cable, it didn’t work, then I tried to move the location of the USB slot that I used as a connection to the cellphone’s Mini USB.

After that, I continued with the flashing process again FROM BEGINNING.

Again, the flashing process again took a very long time and didn’t stop.

I can see at a glance that the recorded time has reached 1600 seconds. Even though the flashing process is usually normal, it only takes around 500 seconds.

Here I have concluded that the USB cable + USB slot is not the root of the problem. (apparently there are others)

Continue to the fourth flashing process….

3. Re-extract the firmware (fourth flashing)

When I wanted to try this method, at first I wasn’t sure if it would work or not after re-extracting it from the firmware file.

However, because I was stuck with no other ideas, I finally re-extracted + waited for the process to extract the firmware file which is over 3GB in size.

Until finally the extract process is complete.

Up here I almost gave up, if indeed the Redmi 4A cellphone that I have been using for about 1 year must “go home” there.

With a heavy heart, I finally flashed again for the umpteenth time after flashing FAILED several times due to the duration of the flashing not being completed.

Long story short the flashing process was running, after that I deliberately stayed in the shower with the intention of calming my mind. (I almost forgot to shower that morning)

After taking a shower, I went back to the location to check the condition of the cellphone…

And it turns out…

The flashing process, which has always FAILED, now is SUCCESSFUL with the MIUI 8 logo appearing on the cellphone.

It’s kinda weird…

With this I conclude:

Is it true, the process that always FAILED for a very long duration was caused by a corrupted firmware file or something like that???

In fact, at first glance, the firmware extract process that I did at the very beginning (first flashing) was already 100% complete.

And I have used the firmware many times, no problems.

Got a virus, or got what?

I’m confused, Srius…

Conclusion…

So the conclusion is, it is possible that the flashing process which is running for a very long time is caused by the state of the extracted firmware file which is slightly damaged in certain component file sections.

Augustbe yes, maybe not…

Notes…

The article above is just my vent when I experienced a flashing process that took a very long time, up to hours without giving any notification.
