Overcoming Speakers/Headsets and Microphones Frequently Disconnecting Every Few Minutes
Your speaker or headset and microphone often disconnect several times to make you uncomfortable, sometimes this can even make the program that is currently running become unresponsive (not responding). The main cause of this problem is the incompatibility of the driver used with the mainboard/motherboard used, then how to solve it? yes, the easiest way to deal with it is to let Windows automatically download the recommended driver, apart from that there are still several ways you can do it.
Method 1 – Download Audio Driver from Laptop/Mobo Website:
1. Get to know the brand of your laptop or if you use a computer, identify the brand of the motherboard you are using.
Example: You are using a dell brand laptop, and a computer with a gigabyte brand motherboard
2. Go to the official website of the brand you are using, if a hp laptop go to the official hp website and if the computer uses a gigabyte mobo then go to the official gigabyte website
3. Find and download a sound driver on the official website that you have visited, on the official website there must be a sound driver that is recommended for use
4. After that, install the driver recommended by each brand, but before that it’s better to uninstall the driver you are currently using
5. Done, try again the speaker/headset that you have
Method 2 – Use Most Suitable Realtek Version :
2. Download the driver from the initial version to the final version
3. Then test one by one, which driver is the most suitable and doesn’t cause your speaker/headset to disconnect
4. The realtek audio driver version on the website is not complete, you can get the latest version of the driver via driver update software such as Driver Booster, or you can also search on other websites such as Guru3D
5. This method is tiring and requires a lot of data packets (if you are not a wifi user)
6. Advice from the admin, it’s better to try the earliest and latest versions if you want to save data
Method 3 – Not Using Realtek HD Audio :
1. Go to control panel, and select Programs and Features
2. Find Realtek High Definiton Audio Driver, right click and select Uninstall
3. After that restart your laptop/computer
4. Try again the speaker/headset you are using
Method 4 – Realtek Settings
1. Open realtek settings, by right-clicking on the Realtek icon on the taskbar or you can open it in “C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RAVCpl64.exe”
2. Click on “Device Advanced Settings” which is in the upper right corner
3. Set like this, then click Ok – Ok
4. Restart your laptop/computer, and try to test your speaker/headset
Method 5 – Update Bios (New August 2023)
1. This method is most recommended if there is interference with the hardware, what we need to do is update the bios version
2. Bios is a system that regulates the running of hardware on a computer system
3. If there is an error in the bios then some hardware will not work properly
4. Updating the bios has a high risk if there is a failure in the update process, so it’s not really recommended to do this unless you are someone who is able to solve your own problems, but for those of you who have a dual bios feature on your mobo, you should be safe in updating the bios even if it fails. And for the latest mobos, there should be many that support dual bios
5. On the latest laptops and mobos, there is already an official website where you can download the latest bios
6. For older mobos and laptops, it might be a little difficult to find an update file for your bios, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one
7. After updating the bios, try again the problematic device should have changed
If there is a way that is more effective and more effective, it will be updated soon in this article
