This game is a development of Dota Allstars in WoW with a fresher look and updates in various aspects so that this game has been maintained since it was first released.
Here are some tips you can do to make the Dota 2 game run smoother, even though the effect isn’t too pronounced.
1. Change Resolution in Dota 2
By changing the resolution to be smaller, it can help run the Dota 2 game smoothly, but it will have an effect on an unsightly display. You can also try Windowed mode, Fullscreen, or Bordeless Windows
2. Customize the Render API
In Dota 2 there are 4 Render APIs that you can try, namely OpenGL, Dx9, Dx11, and Vulkan, you can try one – one until you get the performance that feels right.
3. Use Some of the Following Commands
To help the game run lighter, you can try some of the following Dota 2 commands that you can add to the Launch Options section:
- -high = Dota 2 priority becomes high (remove if PC becomes slow/lagged)
- -nod3d9ex = Turn off windows aero directx (if some problem occurs just remove it)
- -map dota = Load the map before the game starts (opening loading may take a long time)
- -32bit = Runs Dota 2 in 32-bit mode (remove if slower)
- -novid = Removes Dota 2 opening videos
- -noprewarm = Load resources at the beginning of the game (opening may take a long time)
