COVID-19 Employee, Kojima Productions Stops Operation
One of the main aspects that makes the COVID-19 pandemic so dangerous, is its very fast and insane transmission.
If one is hit, everyone around will immediately be very badly infected. Especially if the incident occurred in one office/company. If one employee is hit, the impact will be that the office will be temporarily closed.
And this is what recently happened with the company game development belongs to legendary game maker Hideo Kojima, Kojima Productions.
Office Activities Closed First
As reported by GameRant, it was revealed that one of their employees, who did not want to reveal his identity, recently underwent a PCR test (yes, the test to find out if he has Corona or not is easy).
And the test results unfortunately, immediately showed that he was positive for COVID-19. Actually, since March 20, 2022, the sick employee has not entered the office anymore.
However, Kojima decided to close his office first to prevent further spread of the virus. As a result, all work activities will be carried out from within their respective workers’ homes.
Not Required Close
According to a statement from Kojima Productions, the sick employee, since being diagnosed with COVID-19, has not had any physical contact. Moreover, other employees were also not affected by the outbreak.
But in the end they decided to stop all work activities to make it safer. And yep. Very right decision. So far it seems like only Kojima Productions, the company game developer top affected by the Corona outbreak.
Of course we really hope that no other companies follow suit. And of course, we also hope that the epidemic will end quickly so that all staff can return to work in the office as usual.
Fortunately, Kojima Productions is currently not handling any video game projects. So even if you have to stop working in a few months, yes, everyone fine just. See if they’re really busy. It’s definitely going to be more difficult, isn’t it?
