NBA Holds NBA 2K Tournament Between NBA Players
As we know, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as a result, almost all annual tournaments/sports events in the United States have been temporarily suspended.
Including one of them is the basketball season tournament, NBA. This year’s season, which was supposed to continue, was stopped on March 11, 2022 due to the Corona factor.
And round play-offs which should have been held on April 18, 2022, must now also be heldpostponed for a while until the whole situation becomes conducive again.
NBA2K Tournament
Seeing this, it’s not surprising that many of fans The NBA then wonders. “Then it means that all the players are unemployed for a while, right?”
Hmm not really guys. Because based on uploads tweets from senior NBA reporters Yahoo Sports! The Chris Haynes you see above, the NBA side together developer the top sports video game, 2K, will host a virtual basketball tournament through the game NBA2K20.
Well, the plan is that this tournament will be held on Friday April 3, 2022 (local time) and will be held for 10 days with 16 of the current NBA’s top players, one of which is Utah Jazz All-Star, Donovan Mitchell.
So far, it is unclear what kind of prizes will be obtained by the players who will win the tournament and other details. In other words stay tune don’t go on guys.
Nascar Did The Same
This step taken by the NBA is arguably the second step taken by an official sports organization that decided, to organize the tournament on line instead of an event “big games” they.
The first to do so was the car racing organization Nascar, which on March 22, 2022, organized the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series events.
Events it shows virtual Nascar matches / tournaments that are made in such a way as to be like real annual Nascar events.
Pity? Possible. But what are you going to do, right? After all, the situation is really concerning. Hopefully everything will become conducive again soon so that all tournaments or major sporting events can air again as usual. Now, what do you think about this news?
