Fortnite Pro Players Lose $200K Due to Epic!

Pro Fortnite player ‘Nate Hill’ claims he lost nearly $200,000 due to issues with Epic Games. He said that the developers did not care about the competitive play that was in the game.

Fortnite has been around since 2022 and has brought in a $30 million prize pool as an awesome World Cup event. even so Fortnite still a relatively new esport compared to others like League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The battle royale game uses the Random Number Generator System (RNG) System, which means no two matches are the same. However if that happens it will have a negative impact on the game in some modes.

While this responsibility falls on Epic Games, Nate Hill believes that they simply “don’t care” about this issue. During the event on November 9, FaZe Clan stars played in the Fortnite Championship Series. Troubles came and made the team miss important points in qualifying.

The developer didn’t issue an update at the time which frustrated players and Nate spoke up.

“It keeps happening and they don’t fix it and they don’t care. I keep remembering it. I even know they don’t care about that.”

Hill didn’t stop there, he continued. “Big slap for any pro is when they take our points but not for everyone. So, some teams have to maintain their extra game. ”

pro player Fortnite The agency started reporting the issue to Epic after discussing the broader issue. This affected his competitive play, as it also cost him in the first few tournaments a lot of money.

“As I have told you several times, I lost nearly 200,000 dollars in prize money. It’s because of Epic’s incompetence,” he added.

As for the points lost from the November 9 event, Epic confirmed that any team that dropped FNCS points will earn retrospectively gains ahead of week two of the finals. But of course it’s bound to spark controversy with teams not knowing their rankings.
