Konami Finally Gives Comment About Silent Hill Rumors
Some time ago, we did get the very shocking news that the video game giant Sony wants to buy some Konami games. One of the most interesting is the existence of titles like Silent Hill or Metal Gear.
Then, is this news true? What is Konami’s response to the rumors circulating widely among gamers? Let’s see the discussion below.
Konami Comments

Being the best survival horror game certainly makes many players expect the presence of a new game from this franchise. But it seems that hope will not be fulfilled because Konami has given its official response.
Since the release of PT, a teaser for the new Silent Hill game from Hideo Kojima, of course many people are interested in the continuation of this series. Unfortunately, hopes of releasing the full game were dashed when Kojima and Konami had a no-nonsense split. Since then there have been a number of rumors about Sony acquiring the rights to Silent Hill as well as Kojima returning to the project.
The company’s PR representative in North America said these rumors were “untrue.” They then explained, “We are aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know that’s not the answer you fans might want to hear.”
There’s Still a Chance
However, they added that Konami is not “closing the door” on this franchise but that its creation isn’t in the near future either. The question of how Konami will make something new for Silent Hill is worth the wait, but not many fans are demanding that they can play the project created by Kojima.
One aspect that can cause fan disappointment, is Konami’s shift in focus from console games to mobile games. This is of course closely related to the amount of revenue from other games that have been released first on mobile.
