PewDiePie Will Delete His Twitter Account?
After announcing that he will be leaving YouTube in 2022, Felix or better known as PewDiePie has made a new statement. He stated that he hates Twitter and will delete his social media account.
In a video entitled “I hate twitter“, the 30-year-old streamer expressed his frustration with the social media. He said he disliked social media platforms which had become a pool of opinion.
PewDiePie Just Leaving and Not Deleting His Twitter Account
Now his Twitter profile has been changed to “I don’t use Twitter, this account is only to prevent fake accounts”.
The Youtuber recently managed to surpass 24 billion views and 100 million subscribers on YouTube. This achievement made him the YouTuber with the most subscribers and the channel with the most views run by one person.
His success has been linked to various partnerships and sponsors. Even some game developers include PewDiePie as a reference in their games. In addition, PewDiePie was also named one of the Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
What Really Caused PewDiePie to Quit Twitter?
While it is unclear what triggered this man out of Twitter suddenly. Previously, PewDiePie had come under fire for years for its use of racial slurs during its streaming.
Last October, PewDiePie is also banned in China after the streamer made a joke about the Hong Kong protesters. Not only that, he also compared President Xi to Winnie the Pooh through the use of various memes.
It looks like PewDiePie will be taking a break early next year. As the video says, “I feel very tired, Early next year I will go away for a while. I’ll explain later.”
Decision Felix leaving social media was enough to make some fans disappointed and upset, even though it was his decision. Felix recently married Marzia Bisognin in August, and it looks like he will be looking for a new adventure with his partner.
However, there will still be fans eagerly waiting for the YouTuber’s return. Hopefully PewDiePie will be back soon.
