Norskeren Caught Using Insults

Norskeren apologizes for being racist

Norskeren caught using the slur “ngr,” racist for a derogatory term we don’t want to repeat. The incident in question was captured in one of Splyce’s behind-the-scenes videos. Pro Player Splyce quickly apologized on social media after being called out for the incident.

Further, he expressed disbelief that it accurately reflected who he was personally. The reaction from the League of Legends fanbase was mixed. Some people had condemned Norskeren in bad terms, others had also sympathized with his apology.

Racist Language Has Often Happened in League of Legends

This isn’t the first time racist language has rocked League of Legends. Back in 2022, Hankil “Road” Yoon was suspended and fined $2,000 for using racist comments against other players during practice.

Further examples in esports include the incident where OG’s Sebastien “7ckngMadDebs allegedly ran amok against Russian players using racist terms on the DOTA 2 subreddit.
