In a deleted tweet posted via his Twitter account on November 6, the 26-year-old revealed that he had been banned from streaming for two weeks. He wrote in French:
“I wanted to keep it a secret, but I saw that it was making a fuss. I’ve been banned from Twitch for two weeks for a racist joke. “
“We can joke about everything, but not with everyone, that’s a lesson I will learn from him.”
According to reports from Dexerto France, Mickalow’s suspension stems from a comment he made about one of the characters in the Call of Duty game. In the latest game, there is a section where he compares one of the characters to a gorilla.
Mickalow has also apologized for his racist joke

The video clip has been deleted. And the streamer confirmed that he had apologized after the incident.
“I was asked if I apologized,” he continued. “Of course I do. I apologized in the chat as soon as I understood the joke was awkward. “
Meanwhile, one twitter user commented on the ban. He thinks the 2 week ban for Mickalow is too short, he could get a longer ban. It didn’t take long for Mickalow to respond to the tweet with a “clean guy who only makes bad jokes.”
While Mickalow was disappointed with the ban because the joke had no ill intent. Twitch’s policies are uncompromising, as they have in the past banned pro Fortnite players for life for being caught using cheats.
With a 2-week ban, it is expected that Mickalow will return to the platform on Wednesday, November 20th when his sentence has been completed.
