The Game Awards 2022: Complete List of Categories and Nominations
The Game Awards is an annual event held to recognize achievements in the video game industry. The Game Awards event, hosted by a Game journalist named Geoff Keighley.
There are approximately 107 games that were nominated in several categories, this year the Game of the year nominations were led by Death Stranding and Control.
The Game Awards 2022 Is Dominated By Big Games
Apart from Death Stranding and Control, there are other big games that are up for the nominations. Among them are Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which received 5 nominations, and Resident Evil 2 and The Outer Worlds which received 4 nominations each.
For the category “Best Performance” nominated by Death Stranding and Control. There is a confusing category of nominations, namely “Fresh Indie Games Presented by Subway“. After being investigated, it turns out that this category is intended for Indie Studios who just released their first game in 2022.
