Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta Begins August 3rd and Will Bring Battle Royale in September
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 wants to be one of the most distinct Call of Duty games since Advanced Warfare in 2022 and because of that, some fans are a little worried. To ease concerns, Activision and Treyarch have announced two betas that will start in just a few weeks. Fans of the acclaimed FPS series will be able to play the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta right from their homes starting August 3 if they play on PlayStation 4. Xbox One and PC players can hope to be patient a week later.

- PlayStation 4 (Start: August 3 at 10 am / PT – End: August 6 at 10 am / PT)
- PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (Start: August 10 at 10 am / PT – End: August 13 at 10 am / PT)
- Early Access PC Beta (Start: August 10 at 10am / PT) * PC exclusive in Battle.
- Net PC Open Beta (Start: August 11 at 10 am /PT – Ended: August 13 at 10 am / PT)
Six maps will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta (Frequency, Contraband, Payload, Seaside, Hacienda, and Gridlock) and players will have the opportunity to play TDM, Domination, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and a new mode called Control. .
Control sees the team attack and defend against static objective points with a limited number of lives, making strategy and skill a key factor in who wins. When it comes to picking all the toys you want to play with in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you’ll be able to access the beloved Pick 10 system and some new additions. Specialists now have special equipment specific to their characters beyond their normal powers, you can choose the optional ‘Gear’ piece which gives you bonuses like cheaper scorestreaks, the ability to heal faster, and more. Finally, you’ll have access to new weapon-specific attachments and a “new class of powerful attachments” called Operator Mods.
Fans Can Also Experience The Battle Royale Thrill That Will Come In Call of Duty Black Ops 4
Treyarch has only announced two playable Specialists for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta, Nomad and Prophet, but it’s unclear if more will be available when it starts. But the fun doesn’t stop there. In September, fans will experience a new Battle Royale mode made for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 known as Blackout.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us at Treyarch because not only are we putting more content into the hands of players earlier than ever, we are able to host two separate Beta experiences,” said Co-Studio Head Dan Bunting. “Not only does it improve the quality of the game, it also allows us to respond to player feedback and tailor the experience to the way players are most engaged with the game. We want launch day to be a celebration that players around the world can enjoy, and we know it won’t stop there, we will always work tirelessly to improve, grow and develop the game after launch. ”
There are no specific dates or details for the Blackout beta yet but Activision promises to share more details in the near future. The blackout beta is coming first on PS4 like the MP beta in August. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will release on October 12, 2022 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Players can pre-order now to access the beta or if you’re an XFINITY subscriber you’ll be given free access to the MP beta in August.
