No Man's Sky First Season Details and Free Weekly Content

The NEXT update for No Man’s Sky has proven to be a huge success. Game Hello’s much-loved game of exploring space and gathering resources has managed to expand its community with this addition, and it looks like the developers aren’t planning on stopping there. This week, Hello Games detailed the first season of weekly content coming to No Man’s Sky, and it sounds interesting.

Starting today, players who have completed the first Space Anomaly mission will be given the option to investigate a new parallel world discovered by Specialist Polo and Priest Entity Nada. There have already been a lot of incredible discoveries made in No Man’s Sky, and it’s an opportunity to find something even better.

However, finding a truly pristine Sean Murray monument will only be so satisfying without the rewards it deserves. Explorers who return with a number of strange objects that are said to appear underground in this previously unknown world will be rewarded with Quicksilver, the new currency introduced to the game. With Quicksilver in hand, players can head to new vendors and use them to buy some new exotic collectibles in the form of emotes, base pieces, and gear. There are only eleven collections available at the moment, but that will expand to over fifty over the coming weeks.

No Man’s Sky has come a long way since its launch in 2022. It’s a recent success enough to even outsell GTA V on Steam for a short time. For a game that’s been largely scrapped, it’s pretty good. Now that Hello Games has such an insubstantial fan base for No Man’s Sky, they’re in the perfect position to make it even better, something they should be easy to do if this planned community event ends up being as exciting as it sounds.

No Man’s Sky is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
