Riot Games Officially Announces First Tournament For Valorant Game!

To introduce the game to the general public, Riot Games has just announced an Esports tournament for its new game. The tournament entitled “Ignition Series” will be the beginning of the journey of the Valorant game in the esports scene. To make this Valorant game’s inaugural tournament a success, Riot Games partnered with more than 20 E-sports organizations. This collaboration will later present a variety of unique competitive events around the world.

Based on the information shared, there will be two Ignition Series tournaments to be held. Where the first tournament that was presented with G2 Esports could only be participated by teams from EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). As well as the second tournament presented by Rage for the Japanese region.

In addition, in the future Ignition Series events will be produced for fans in North America, Brazil, Latin America, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Oceania, Europe, Russia, Turkey, and the Middle East.

While the event for Southeast Asia is scheduled to be held in early July and mid-August. More details will be released in the coming weeks.

Later, each organizer will operate a separate Ignition Series tournament. It will include a mix of open qualifiers, show matches and competitive invitational championships alongside a line-up of top players, celebrities and aspirational amateurs.

Both tournaments will be held online from 19 to 21 June 2022. Riot Games will also announce one more Valorant tournament for the EMEA and NA regions which will be held from June 26-28.

The arrival of the inaugural Valorant tournament proves that Riot Games is serious about making the Valorant game a competitive game. However, it can also be played casually by some other gamers.
