Reasons Laney and Karla Announce Graduate from MNL48
There is new news from a music group from Manila, the Philippines, which is a branch of the AKB48 Group, namely MNL48. Two of their members named Karla and Laney announced their graduation from the group simultaneously.
The announcement was made last night in conjunction with the MNL48 3rd Generation Press Conference project, via the official website, the management that manages this idol group, HalloHallo Entertainment (HHE) gave a statement.
“We formally announce that two MNL48 members Laney and Karla will graduate from the idol industry and will no longer be bound & be a part of MNL. HHE and the group understand their decision.”
“Thus, we are grateful for the commitment, hard work, dedication and experience that Karla and Laney have given to MNL48. We wish them all the best.”
“MNL48 also expresses many thanks to fans for their continuous support. We hope that new projects in the future, especially with the presence of the third generation of MNL48 personnel, will entertain fans even more.” write management.
Facts at a glance about Laney MNL48, the girl whose long name is Lorelaine Delos Reyes Sanosa was born in Quezon City, Metro Manila in November 2002. She is a member of the first generation MNL48 idol group.
Laney made his debut in April 2022 as a Trainee, before being promoted to Team MII a year later. He was demoted to trainee status again after getting a poor rating (#36) in the 3rd MNL48 General Election.
Meanwhile, Karla or Ruth Carla Dela Paz, a woman born in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, is in the same generation as Laney. He graduated from MNL48 in early May 2022 but only a week later he returned to Trainee as a captain.
In early January 2022 Karla was promoted to Team NIV I, but unfortunately this February 2022 she had to return to being a Trainee because her ranking in MNL48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo was not very good (rank #43).
The release of Karla and Laney has increasingly led to a debate about the member selection event system at MNL48 which is deviated from what it should be. Whereas in the other 48 groups, including SNH48 which has been released, regardless of the rank of the members, they are not relegated to Kenkyuusei or Trainees.
The hashtag or hashtag from MNLoves (the name for MNL48 fans) also often appears repeatedly on trending Philippine Twitter topics as a form of protest to management regarding Senbatsu Sousenkyo.
After Karla and Laney graduated from MNL48, of course, this added to the long list of members of this music group who left because their status was downgraded to Trainee just because of the Senbatsu Sousenkyo event.
