Why Chris Evans Was Appointed To Voice Buzz Lightyear
The main reason why Chris Evans was appointed as the voice of Buzz Lightyear was recently revealed directly by the director, namely Angus MacLane. Can anyone guess what the reason is? Hehe.
Lightyear is the most awaited film for fans of the legendary animated film titled Toy Story. Because, this film will reveal the origins of Lightyear’s character which is not yet known by many people.
In order to welcome its release which is only days away, Angus MacLane as the director also gave a leak about his reasons for entrusting Chris Evans as the voice of the main character.

To IGNthe director who was born on April 13, 1975 explained what the main reason behind the appointment of actor Chris Evans as the voice behind the character of Buzz Lightyear.

From his explanation, Angus MacLane seems to want to present Buzz Lightyear’s voice which is different from the Toy Story version. Of the many actors available, Angus prefers Chris Evans to work with him.
“We needed a different voice so audiences would know that this Buzz is not a toy in Toy Story,” said Angus MacLane.
Furthermore, Angus assesses that Chris Evans has a distinctive voice character and is suitable to fill the voice of the character. He has proven this when playing the character Steve Rogers aka Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
“Buzz needs a voice actor who has character and seriousness, but who can also balance some of the jokes. He’s the only actor I’m considering.” he added.
Besides Chris Evans, this animated film also features a number of other top Hollywood actors, such as Taika Waititi, James Brolin, Keke Palmer, Peter Sohn and many others.
