Easy way to set PPSSPP smoothly and clear graphics on PC or Android low end

Hello, this time I will explain the configuration of PPSSPP. Earlier, we covered tutorials on how to easily modify texture PPSSPP games on PC and Android. Of course, many games have been released on PSP in the past, so this PSP game is fun to play through his PPSSPP emulator.

However, on PCs and Androids with low specs, games are too heavy on PCs and Androids, and you can’t immediately play the PSP games you want. PPSSPP has settings or configuration features that allow you to adjust graphics and other things that improve game performance.

On low-spec PCs and Androids, PPSSPP settings are essential for the game you’re going to play, but some games have different settings. So, I will explain the setting part that does not work in a specific game.

Note: The PPSSPP settings below are recommended to use version 0.9.9.1 or later and use English.

Note 2: X = unchecked, V = checked.

First, open Settings and start with the Graphics or Graphics section. For those settings I didn’t explain, ignore the settings or turn them off.

rendering mode

  • Backend: For PC it uses Direct3d 9 or 11, for Android it’s usually OpenGL only. You can try Direct3d if you have it.
  • Mode: Match the game, as different games have different settings.
In non-buffered mode the game will be smoother or the graphics will be much better/clearer, but in some games the screen will be blank in this non-buffered mode.Buffered mode is an added effect by the game developer, but it can be important because the screen goes blank when turned off.
  • Simulate block transfer effect: match depending on the game. This setting greatly affects the graphics of the game. Check max graphics and test yourself. Turn this setting off if you experience no interference when playing games.

frame rate control

  • Frameskip: 1, 3, 5 recommended. If your game runs smoothly, you don’t need to turn this setting on.
  • Do Not Exceed 60 FPS: This setting is for God of War only. Its function is to prevent FPS from exceeding 60. It should be on when playing games.

Features

  • Post-processing shader: off
  • Stretch to Display (Android): V (actually you can uncheck it, this setting is for the game display to be as large as the Android screen)
  • Small Display (Android): X (Check it out, this setting is for games to make the display even smaller than the Android screen)
  • Fullscreen: Of course, you know what this setting does. X is recommended (unchecked).

performance

  • Rendering Resolution: For PC = Auto (1:1), For Android = 2x PSP, For Tablet = 3x PSP
  • Mipmapping: X
  • Hardware conversion: V
  • Software skinning: V
  • Vertex Cache: V (Some Androids don’t work, just more lag.)
  • Lazy Texture Caching: V
  • Keep Modified Textures: V
  • Disable slow effects: V
  • Spline/Bezier Quality: Low

texture scaling

  • Upscaling Level: Off
  • Luxury type: XBRZ
  • Depostalization: X

texture filler

  • Anisotropic Filling: Off
  • Texture Fill: Auto
  • Texture Scaling Filter: Linear

hack settings

  • Timer Hack: × (Actually, even if you’re reckless, this setting makes PPSSPP unstable. It has the advantage of slightly improving game performance.)
  • Disable stencil test: V
  • Reduce Effect Resolution: Off

audio

  • Enable sound: V
  • Audio Delay: Medium (Change to High as well if you want to focus on the sound)
  • Audio sync: V

system

emulation

  • Fast memory: V (unstable)
  • Multithreading: V (Turn off this setting if you lose your in-game character).
  • Thread I/O: V
  • I/O Timing Method: Fast (lag on slow storage)
  • Force Real Clock Sync: X
  • Change emulated CPU clock: Automatic (This setting is set to mhz auto = 220. Lowering the mhz too much can cause the game to hang or crash, but this setting really affects game speed at low MHz values like 60-80.Do not change this setting if you play Tekken games)
