Kumparantekno – There are times when we want to surf the internet / browse using Google Chromewhat happens is that the browser sometimes doesn’t want to respond and even can not be opened at all.
After I investigated using simple methods, this incident was actually almost similar to Mozilla Firefox which apparently had the same disease, namely sometimes it couldn’t be opened.
Then what became the cause of these two browsers sometimes does not appear / cannot be opened??? (especially for Google Chrome)

Causes Google Chrome can not be opened
As additional information, it’s better if you first know some of the causes that allow Google Chrome to be unable to open.
The first is…
1. Google Chrome is updating
The most common cause and very often occurs is caused by the state of Google Chrome which is still active because it is doing an UPDATE in the background of the Windows OS.
The problem is, this update process sometimes doesn’t finish due to bad internet connection, until finally it continues to be continuously ON in the background.
So when Google Chrome is still active and accompanied by reopening the Desktop icon, there will usually be a small conflict between Google Chrome and the Windows OS.
Whether this is some kind of BUG from the OS or from the browser, the point is you have to close it first “process” Google Chrome in the background, then open it normally again.
2. The program file is damaged / corrupted
The second possibility is that the program file on Google Chrome that you are using is damaged, or also known as corrupt.
The occurrence of damage to this file can be due to decreased read/write performance from the hard drive, OR it could also be caused by a virus.
3. Too many Add-Ons installed
Point number 3 is very unlikely, but it could happen.
Too many Plugins / Add-Ons installed make the performance of Google Chrome too heavy because the properties that are carried are increasing / quite large from the standard.
4. And others
There are still many other trivial causes that can cause the Google Chrome error can’t be opened, but so far I haven’t found it.

Now it’s time for me to briefly explain how to deal with the Google Chrome browser not opening.
You can do the steps below on a PC / Laptop with Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. (Windows Vista too)
The first is…
1. Close the process through the task manager
The most effective and most likely way to succeed is to look for a process named “chrome. exe” in the Task Manager, then stop the process by Right click -> End Process
To open TaskManager can use commands Ctrl + Alt + Deletethen select the “Task Manager” menu.
If you have stopped all the processes that say “chrome.exe” in the Task Manager, then open the Google Chrome program via the Desktop Icon as usual.
The point is, CLOSE all “chrome.exe” processes that are still running in the background, if they are already closed, then try opening them again as usual.
2. Scan, then reinstall
This second method applies if Google Chrome cannot be opened due to a virus. As additional info, a computer that is infected with a virus will usually slow down accompanied by strange files appearing.
Do an antivirus update, then scan.
After scanning is complete, reinstall the Google Chrome program.
3. Discard add-ons that are not important
It’s better to just uninstall add-ons that don’t really matter.
Too many Add-Ons that are installed will actually slow down the performance of the browser. The story is different if your PC / Laptop already has DEWA specifications.
4. There is no additional…
So far, there are no other tips that I can convey in overcoming Google Chrome, which sometimes cannot be opened on a Windows OS laptop.
