5 Tips to Lighten Google Chrome

Chrome is a well-known and popular browsing application, besides that this application is very easy and comfortable to use. However, did you know that chrome uses a lot of RAM space so those with small RAM will feel slow. Apart from RAM, Procie also plays a role in running chrome, so if your Procie and RAM are below average, using chrome is the same as playing games with high specifications on a low laptop.

So, here are some tips to reduce RAM usage on Google Chrome

1. Don’t Use a Theme

For those with high laptop specifications, there will be no problem with this one, but for those with low laptop specifications, this will affect page loading. Web pages will take longer to load and cause a bit of breakage in scrolling.

2. Reduce the Use of Extensions in Chrome

Using extensions actually takes up space and adds to Chrome’s RAM users, so make sure to disable extensions that you don’t use to make space more open.

The way to see which extensions are using RAM is to right-click on the chrome title bar and then select task manager or in short you can press “Shift + Esc” together.

The extension in question is IDM extension, Ads Blocked (ABP), AnonymoXand others.

3. Using Secret Codes

Actually this is not a secret code, just to make it interesting. So, in the previous post this code has been discussed and has been tested, the results are satisfactory.

The code is “-process-per-site” (write without quotes) in the “Target” section of the chrome shortcut.

4. Reduce Number of Opened Tabs

The more tabs that are opened, the more Chrome will use RAM, and of course every website uses RAM with different uses. For this reason, it is recommended for those with low specifications to try this method so that they are not slow while browsing, so as to avoid lag.

5. Always Clear Chrome Trash

By cleaning up trash on chrome, it will make chrome more flexible and free. Trash can be cleaned without the help of additional applications, by going to the settings section and deleting the existing history and cache. If you want it to be even cleaner, use additional applications like CCleaner, additional software usually cleans up to the deepest parts of it so that Chrome looks like new or was originally downloaded.
