Tips for Reducing High Quota Usage on Android
Once when we were checking data/quota usage on Android, suddenly the usage was almost 10 Gb, even though all we did was just open social media and even then it didn’t take long. Then what is causing all of that to happen, there are a number of things that can be a source of trouble from this, namely the application itself or the user who has downloaded a lot of files and forgot that he has downloaded a lot of files.
Here there will be two things that must be considered, this is done to reduce the use of a very large quota on Android. If you use Wi-Fi you probably don’t need to worry about this.
1. Force Close Online Applications
By doing this, you can save on excessive quota usage. There must be some applications even though they have been closed, but the service will still run in the background, if what is running in the background is offline it doesn’t matter, but if it is online? Well, then the application will continue to take quota, the quota taken is used to provide notifications.
Applications that are online, for example Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, BBM, Line, Online Games (Mobile Legend, CoC, GetRich, etc.), and others. Especially if the application is on line very much on your android, now that will speed up the depletion of your quota. If you don’t want to delete applications that are on line that, you can just turn it off, and turning it off must also reach the services.
You can turn off the application by using an application such as Task Killer. By turning it off, you can reduce excessive quota usage, here’s how you can do it to save your quota, if you’re interested you can try it. Oh yes, of course if you Force Close an online application, later you won’t get notifications again, so you have to open the application first and then the notification will appear.
2. Reduce the Use of Applications That Contain Ads
Ads do not only appear on the web, but also in the applications we use. For example, like Google ads, which usually appear at the bottom in a rectangular shape or usually from the left to the right end of the cellphone. Indeed, some advertisements do not absorb the quota, for example, advertisements offline which usually appears in our gallery as ad unity or so on.
But if the ad on line, then the ad will continue to use quota to allow the ad to connect to the network that provided the ad. How to remove ads on line there are three ways:
- Firstyou can buy the application for free pro/paid, but some don’t provide versions pro.
- Secondyou can use an application that is already in mods/cracks so it becomes a version pro without paying, well usually the application already pro/paid definitely the ads will be removed. But you need to be vigilant, because mod applications can contain viruses/malware that can steal your personal data.
- Thirdyou can use the app CheatDroid to find that ad code and delete it.
3. Sleep applications that use the internet
Many smartphones now provide a battery saver feature, so there should be a setting that can hibernate/sleep applications installed on the device. You can put online applications such as social media and games to sleep.
Indeed, the initial purpose of the battery saver is to save battery, but it can also be used for other things such as saving internet usage that comes from the background. For example, on Xiaomi smartphones, the default application, namely security, already provides a battery saver that can put some system / bloatware applications to sleep as well as downloaded applications.
Notes:
Those are some tips that you can do to reduce the use of large/high quotas on Android without removing the application. Keep in mind that some applications are put to sleep/hibernate or applications that are force closed, when they are run again they may experience errors or crashes but don’t worry, the chances are small.
